Great to hear from you and thanks for the compliment. Typically, A, B, and C races have the following tapers:
A- Full taper, 10-21 days
B- Scheduled for a rest week
C- No taper, just a training day
So, for you, we want to try and fit your two B races on week 10 and 14 as rest weeks. It’s unlikely that those races will just happen to fall on rest weeks (they might). So, just switch the rest week week to fall on the event date.
The only rule behind this is that there must be at least 1 regular week between rest weeks and no more than 4 regular weeks between rest weeks. For example, there are some acceptable combinations:
– Rest, Regular, Rest
– Rest, Regular, Regular, Rest
– Rest, Regular, Regular, Regular, Rest
– Rest, Regular, Regular, Regular, Regular Rest
Here are some unacceptable combinations:
– Rest, Rest, Regular (or at least, that’s a full taper, so could be used for an A race.)
– Rest, Regular, Regular, Regular, Regular, Regular, Rest
If you follow those “rules” you can just swap weeks so that your rest weeks fall on those two race weeks.
