Yesterday after finishing a Half Marathon, I got an automatic threshold pace update on my training peaks app, but when I put the finishing time on the endurance zone calculator it give me a difference on -15 seconds (5.30 [app] ; -5.15 [calculator] ) on the threshold pace update.
Wish result should I follow?
– The automatic on one from the app ?
– The manual one from the calculator?
Use your half-marathon time. It doesn’t make sense to use a split time for a shorter distance because that number doesn’t represent a limiting performance. If you had run a 10K race instead of a half marathon on the same day, you obviously would have gone faster.
