I’m running an Olympic triathlon on August 7th, and am in the midst of the 16 week level 0 plan (Running Pace/Bike HR). I decided I’d like to add a sprint triathlon on July 10th, which would be the end of week 12 in my plan. Currently my first Brick is scheduled for July 12th, and I think it’d be nice to get at least 1 or 2 in prior to the sprint. Any suggestions for how I can best adjust the plan for this?
Yes you can absolutely add in some short bricks to the plan.
I would recommend doing short zone 2 10-15 runs from week 9 off of CT3 in week 9, CCI1 in week 10. Then in Week 11 I would recommend a 20 min run off the bike after CAe26 that you build into Zone3 to give you some race effort feel.
