I have been using 80/20 for a while and I have always used the 30min run test for my LTHR. What is the best test to use to get the most accurate information?
Thanks for using the forums! The best field test to find LTHR is a full 30-minute TT protocol, taking the peak 20 minutes of that 30-minute TT.
However, that 30-minute test is pretty brutal and many athletes struggle. Instead, in our documentation we now formally recommend a 20-minute test taking the peak 15.
However, if you can pull off the 30-minute test every few test cycles, it is a bit more accurate.
