I’m currently having a go at the racing weight program and really enjoying it! I also just read your blog post on intermittent fasting and it triggered some thinking.
I’ve noticed that generally 1 (sometimes 2) days following the depletion runs and / or bike rides I feel pretty awful and my ability to swim bike or run at pace is a bit diminished. I’m guessing this is because of the complete depletion of my glycogen carb stores?
Funnily enough during the depletion bike or run itself I feel ok.
I’m guessing that if you did this all the time (I.e. like in an intermittent fasting program, ones ability to deliver quality workouts would be significantly diminished?).
