    Hi all,

I have noticed that the 80/20 run power zones on the 80/20 website are calculated differently than on TP when you choose 80/20 run power method.

Zones for run power on trainingpeaks when choosing 80/20 method:

    zone 1: 50% 76%
    zone 2: 76% 88%
    zone x 88% 94%
    zone 3 92% 100%
    zone y 100% 103%
    zone 4 103% 120%
    zone 5 111% 300%

Zones for run (and bike) power on https://www.8020endurance.com/8020-zone-calculator/

    zone 1: 50% 70%
    zone 2: 70% 83%
    zone x 83% 91%
    zone 3 91% 100%
    zone y 100% 102%
    zone 4 102% 110%
    zone 5 110% 300%

    Which one should I use?

    Thanks for your help.

Richard, you’re just missing a little pick list on the website zone calculator, where you switch the Power zones from Cycling (default) to Running. See attached link. Switch that pick list from Cycling to Running and you’ll find that TP and the website are identical.

This is easy to miss, the website zone calculator is not terribly UI friendly, it’s just a spreadsheet converted to HTML.
