    Hi all!

    I’m on 5K level 0 structered plan.

I realized that the plan doesn’t incorporate distance in the structured training but on zone.

I’m a running noob and 25min of running doesn’t get me to 5k, in fact far from it lollll.

Anyway, i plan to run 5k in February and I’m not sure if i can complete 5k since the training plan never instruct me to actually complete 5k.

    What should i do?

    Thanks all!

    David Warden

Thanks for being one of our athletes. If you are using the 2020 Edition 5K Level 0 plan, your longest run will be 36 minutes. If you are using the 2021 K Level 0 plan, your longest run will be 45 minutes (if you reload your plan in TP you will automatically have the 2021 Edition plan).

The 25-minute runs are early runs, they get longer through the plan.

Both of these durations will get you through a 5K. Even if you can’t run a 5K in 36 minutes, your longest time to run a 5K is probably ~40 minutes, and your 36-minute run will get you ready for that 40-minute run just fine. It’s common at every distance to not run the full race distance before the race. You don’t run a marathon in training before the marathon, you don’t run 100 miles before a 100-mile event. While it’s less common for a 5K not to run a 5K in training, it’s not a problem.

You can also consider switching to our Level 1 plan for free.

    thank you so much David!
