I’m on the 80/20 Running Level 3 plan, and sometimes the plan calls for two excercises per day (like “RF5 or Crosstrain” and “RRe5”).
I’ve assumed this means I should not do them back-to-back, but rather keep some time between them (like lunch to evening).
Is the idea to just make sure I do both in the same day, or does the order they’re written matter? And is my assumption to not do them back-to-back correct?

Yes, the plans are written in the recommended workout order, and unless otherwise specified they are assumed to be AM and PM workouts.
However, even though the plans are written as the “ideal” order, life happens! If you need to switch the order, or even perform them back-to-back, or perhaps early AM and late AM, that’s also just fine.
