    Re: the most recent post about fasting.

    I train most mornings between 430am-7. Obviously the results you mentioned talk about is cycling. I’m looking in your racing weight book to get some suggestions. I find if I eat before training I need to wake up too early. What would be a good fuel before a early session

    Hi Ben,

    Fueling during workouts is almost as good as fueling before in such circumstances. If you can snarf a banana or something else small before you head out the door, great, but in-workout fueling itself cuts in half the performance-limiting effect of exercising after the overnight fast.



    Thanks for that. Finding something I like that is not super processed is the key, bananas are no good for me. But I’ll find something
