So my brain doesn’t want to stop working at the moment. I came up with a question that I think I understand from a physiological aspect but want to run it past you guys as well.
Question.
Given that, with endurance training, the key is time in zones. in order to maximize training the cardiovascular system would it be beneficial to just spend time in those zones? For example, since i paddle would spending time in zone 2 on a stationary bike be of any benefit?
I know that it is essential to spend time on the craft that I am racing to build durability and endurance and strength?
My general understanding is it will help my overall system but not the muscle that are specific to my event.
