Hi guys I’m new here and I have been reading the book 80/20. I’m interested in finding my training zones. I did the 20 minutes LT and i dont understand how I use the calculator with it

This is the link to my run.

Any help would be great thanks

    Cat,

Thank you for using the forums!

Your LTHR is the average of your final 15 minutes of that 20-minutes test. The Garmin site does not allow me to filter by that 15 minutes, but I would guess that it was 181 for the last 15 minutes, therefore enter in 181 on the LTHR field. Next time, just hit the lap button 5 minutes into the test and then you’ll have your peak 15-minutes lap we can use.

For pace, select the 20-minute pace method and enter in your average pace, which was 5:50. This results in a threshold pace of 6:08 per mile.

Thank you David. I did have the Watch setup to do the first 5-minutes then go for the next 15.

It says my average for the last 15-minutes was 180 and max was 183. Do I use the max heart rate or the average?

Average over that 15, so 180 (my guess was 1 beat off!)
