I am new to the 80/20 method but not new to FTP. I ride in Zwift using a trainer and I dp Power Zone training on my Peloton. My Zwift FTP on my Aero bike (161) is drastically different than the FTP on my Peloton (238) that I got by doing my FTP tests. How do I address this when training? DO I change my FTP in the ap based on the equipment? On Zwift I watch my watts, but on my Peloton it tells me what Zone I’m in, so I can just stay in the correct zone if need be. Thanks in advance for your help.
This is a tricky one as the FTP you are getting from the peloton is going to be significantly different from your Zwift based Power. How did you get your Zwift power numbers, your smart trainer, a power meter or Zpower? I would recommend if you are training for an event with our plans to do your power zone training on your aero bike on the trainer using our structured workouts.
This is going to give you the best approach to ensuring you are truly achieving an 80/20 intensity balance.
