    Hi all,

I’ve read the 80/20 resources and couldn’t find an answer – apologies if I accidentally missed the answer to my question. I’m currently really enjoying the 80/20 Maintenance Strength plan. However, my maintenance phase will be much longer than the 12 week plan. So, given that the plan is broken down into foundation, strenghth, strength endurance and taper, it is not necessarily clear how to repeat the plan back to back. In other words, should I do the foundations and taper each time?

Thanks so much for your help

I’ve forwarded your question to the plan’s creator, AJ Gregg. He will be able to give you the best answer.

Lengthen the strength and strength endurance parts of your plan. Add an equal amount of weeks to each, for the duration of your maintenance phase.

Hi both, that’s brilliant, thanks so much. Just to help me know which bits to repeat, when does each of the four parts (foundation/ strength/ strength endurance/ taper) begin? I haven’t been able to find it in the notes on Training Peaks or here:

Weeks 4 through 11. The beginning and end is foundation and taper. I would do repeats of weeks 4 and beyond.

Let me know if that does not answer your questions.

    Happy training!

    Hi Dr Andrew,

That has answered my questions perfectly, thanks so much
