Could I get clarification on how to Create 80/20 Zones on Your Garmin Device, the table is conflicting if you have to enter manually to a Garmin. It states top of Y is entered but the table uses the lower figure. Which is correct what is written or the figure used?

    Thanks in advance

Mark, can you point out to me specifically the conflict, I’m not finding it in the document.

    Hi

This is the link on the website and relates to the example of using a LTHR of 165 and how the heart rates in the 7 zone table should be put into a garmin 6 zone table.

How to Create 80/20 Zones on Your Garmin Device

    Thanks

Yes, of course. However, where specifically in that document do you see the conflicting information. As the author, I’m too close to it to see the flaw.

    Hi David

The information is at “5. Set up your 80/20 heart rate zones” from the link above, there is a example with a LTHR of 165 and a corresponding table with breakdown of heart rates for the 7 zones for 80/20. The next table shows the same breakdown of heart rates but plotted in the garmin set up for the zones. The query is for the Y zone which for 80/20 is low 165 high 168, but the table for the garmin set up it states use bottom of Y which should be 165 but in the table 168 is used. Not sure which is correct what it says or what is written?

    Thanks
    Mark

Thank you, that field now reads 165 instead of 168, bottom of Zone Y.
