I am after some advice on how to alter my plan, I am currently on week 8 of the level 1 marathon plan, my race was supposed to be the 12th of September, that will not take place now. I have entered in to a new race that will take place on the 10th October. What would be the best option to extend my plan.
The simplest way is to just back up four weeks, repeat weeks 4-8, and then finish out the plan. The biggest risk athletes face when extended training cycles is peaking early. This approach will minimize that risk. Good luck!
