I am training with Level 1 marathon plan of 80/20 training, have 5 more weeks to go before the race day. Last week on the recovery week, I missed one easy run on Saturday and Long Run on the Sunday (was supposed to run 17 kms) . I was wondering, if I should somehow add an easy Run on the rest day for the following week, or split this 17 kms within the week or just continue with my plan without any changes?
I would just carry on with your plan at this point. When you miss just a few sessions it doesn’t make a huge impact on your progressio over the course of the training block. Overloading a week in an attempt to “make up” missed workouts can be more detrimental to progress then letting missed ones go.
