I am contemplating doing the Air Force Marathon Fly-Fight-Win challenge next year. It is a 5K Friday evening, 10K Saturday Morning, Half Marathon after the 10K.
I’ve done it before it was an official challenge. The 2 issues I am facing are:
1) What training Plan or adjustments would you recommend?
2) Advise to best increase my 10K time from ~70 minutes to 58-60 minutes?
I would follow a half-marathon plan of your choice as written except that in some of the later weeks I would shuffle things around so you’re doing two of the harder runs on consecutive days. You can do a high-intensity run and a moderate intensity run back-to-back one week and a moderate- or high-intensity run and a long run back-to-back another week.
