I have a race in 13 weeks (Alcatraz Tri). following the Olympic dist training plan level 2 but the timing is a bit off with the plan being 19 weeks. so was planning to just jump into this with the current plan set to end on my race date. BUT, I don’t want to over work myself early and have it be counter productive. I did an Oly distance race two weeks ago and used 80/20 Oly level 1 to train for that race so feel rested and fit enough to level-up but this is a bit more than that in terms of volume.
I feel like I am ok for jumping into the level 2 plan 6 weeks late but any thoughts? is this too much too fast?
