    Hi,

    There is a recommendation in the book to run tests and update the bike and run zones on monthly basis.

    How to incorporate the tests in a given 80/20 training plan?

    I find those tests (30 mins) quite taxing… So recovery week? Mondays off? I would love to hear about your experience.

    We’ve updated our protocols since the book was published in 2018, and introduced the 20-minute tests and Talk Test to make testing easier. We address those new tests and we also cover the frequency of testing in your 80/20 plan in our document Intensity Guidelines for Triathlon.
