When planning for a specific race, is it best to plan per month for for the whole build up? In the past I have used both strategies. But a little unsure of best practice
Depends on your experience/knowledge level and your psychological profile. I have a tremendous amount of experience and I prefer improvisation to planning, so I seldom plan more than a week or two ahead in my own training. But if you’re a natural-born planner, then plan. Some topical reading:
