I am very much looking forward to doing this workout tomorrow (CPI2) and it sounds like it would be perfect on a big hillside – but w all the shifting required I’m wondering if it would be more effective on the flat? I’m a decent shifter but far from perfect.
Hope I caught you before the workout! I don’t have a strong opinion on hills or flats on this one. The real answer is can you recover in Zone 1-2 on that terrain? If the hills are too steep, you may not be and to reach Zone 1 (and Zone 2 is acceptable).
If you can recover (and sometimes I just turn around and ride downhill for the recovery) then you can do it on hills or flats.
