Questions before to buy a plan / PWR Stryd in trail

    Hi,

    I’m planning to buy the half marathon plan level 0 (Power Based). I have few questions before to buy…

    1- Do you recommand to use the 80/20 zones or Stryd Zones are fine?

    2- I will run in trails most of the time. Any tips to stay in zone 1 and 2?

    3- Do you guys have a plan trail and power specific?

    Thanks for considering our plans!

    1. 80/20 zones are different from Stryd zones, close, but not close enough that you can interchange them. Our Getting Started guide will walk you through how to setup our 80/20 zones from your individual thresholds.

    2. Yes, particularly since you have a power meter, it’s a bit easier on trails to maintain appropriate zones. Main tip: don’t hesitate to walk the hills. This is an appropriate strategy for race day as well. Keep your arm movement minimal, and lead with your knees on those hills.

    3. We do have power-specific Ultra plans, and all our Ultra plans are created with the assumption to be performed primarily on trails.

    In Stryd Powercenter I can manually change my zones, is training peak usefull in my case?
