In perusing the 50k level 1 plan, I noticed a workout called RA4 (Accelerations Run). I went through the workout library to see more details about this run but was unable to find it. What are the “accellerations” in this run?

Good question. The Acceleration portion is a very gradual increase in pace from the bottom of Zone 2 through Zone 5. The goal is to reach top speed for a few seconds towards the end of the segment.
You are slowly accelerating through the segment. I hope that helps.

Gerald has nailed the Run Accelerations, and in your electronic plan you’ll also see a note for that particular acceleration segment that reads “Accelerate VERY gradually and continuously, aiming to reach full speed a few second before the end.”
