Hi, I’m in my 5th week of Marathon Level 1 training. I have just been informed that my marathon of 15th November has been cancelled so I’m going to run the NYC Virtual Marathon 2 weeks before, on 1st November.
How do I adjust my 18 week plan? Do I “delete” 2 weeks of the 18 week program? Which?
Richard, I recommend you skip weeks 6 and 7 and modify your long run this week from 9 miles to 10. It will be a bit of a jump skipping those two weeks, but best to cut them out early in the plan than later in the plan when the volume really starts to increase.
