Looks like I will be able to start swimming only a few weeks before starting a Level-2 IM plan. I have been doing dryland exercises. Am not a strong swimmer (1:45 IM swim). What do you suggest for a return to swimming plan?
Irtman, great question. No intensity for the first week. Just Zone 1-2. I think 20 minutes of easy swimming 3x is plenty for each session for the first week, depends on your appetite for risk and injury history. Consider wearing a swimmers snorkel for the first few weeks to focus on your form and not worry about breathing.
