I just downloaded the 5k Level 1 plan on Training Peaks, and saw it described as being 4-6 days/week. I can only train 4 days but it imports as 6 days and I can’t figure out how to reduce it to 4. Is there a way to do this automatically, or some suggestions of which workouts to remove? I’m totally new to 80/20 and Training Peaks.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for using our plans. A couple of options here. We can always switch you to the Level 0 plan for free, which has 5 days of running a week. Alternatively, you can merge up to two of the shortest runs of the week into anther run and bring the total from 6 to as little as 4 runs a weeks.
Also, can you show me where we post 4-6 days a week for the 5K Level 1 plan, I need to fix that.

if you look at in the TP store you can find the above mentioned plan. It says 4-6 days per week of running.

Sounds good, thanks David. Looks like I just need to fill out a request through the contact page to switch levels.
And yep, winoria’s got the place. A few of the plans have a ranges listed like that.March 17, 2021 at 8:44 am #11042David WardenKeymaster
Yep, I see it now. Unfortunately, this is a result TrainingPeaks’ recently changing their algorithm and not something the plan author can change. The 5K Level 1 race week (final week) has just 4 total run workouts, TP simply reports the high and low. So, while the plan has 8 weeks of 6 days a week, the 9th and final week has 4 days and so TP is reporting “4-6” days a week.
TP most recently displayed this field as a “typical” week and used a more sophisticated formula to represent the plan which displayed this plan as 6 days of running.
I suppose what we could do is add “dummy” workouts to any rest week or race week that artificially lowers what TP is reporting. I don’t like that option. I think instead I’ll use my irresistible influence and charm to convince TP to go back to the “typical week” method.
In the meantime, our plan previews at https://www.8020endurance.com/run-level-comparison/ are spot on.

That cracked me up too. Their new algorithm sounds like a step back, time to charm ’em.
Thanks for your help. I got the new Level 0 and merged the shorties together.
