ParticipantI did the configuration on training peaks, i configured zones as well. My question is, on my garmin 245, the workouts will show zones and alarms, as the workouts that are included with garmin or not? if not, how i can configure that?

ParticipantPerhaps you’re already aware of all this but I’ll write this anyway just in case.
Did you link TP to your Garmin account?
I have a Vivoactive 4. Not sure what features the 245 will give you.
Once you link the accounts, your workouts automatically download to your Garmin device and the device will take you through each workout and then upload the finished workout back to TP.
Not sure if that’s what you’re asking or not.

KeymasterIn addition to BStarr’s document, be sure to review Understanding Your TrainingPeaks Structured Workout Plan
Once you have followed that document and linked your TP and Gamrin accounts, your workouts will automatically sync to your Garmin device, including step-by-step instructions.
However, Garmin does not support the alarms feature. Your device will tell you when to start and stop each workout segment, and how hard to perform each segment, but it will not alert you if you go over and under the prescribed zones.
Other devices, such as Coros, support this, but not Garmin at this time.

ParticipantDavid,
I believe you are incorrect regarding the alarm feature on Garmin (at least the VA4). You’re TP workouts appear in your Garmin calendar. When running one of those workouts, I receive pace too high and pace too low alerts. Those alerts change based on the pace changes in the workout.
That being said, there is a bug in that feature which I’ve been in contact with Garmin about. For some reason, the Garmin workouts do not use the correct pace in determining these and you will get alerts even though your pace is within the range for the current phase of the workout. They are working on a software update.

KeymasterBstarr, thank you. This is the second time I’ve been corrected about a device having what I call “dynamic alerts.” My new form answer will be something like, “your device may or may not support dynamic alerts, check with TrainingPeaks or your device manufacturer for confirmation.” There are just too many devices for me to track this!

ParticipantHi all,
I can confirm, the Garmin Fenix 5S has pace alerts on the 8020 workouts. My wife is on the 8020 marathon plan based on pace and syncs with her Garmin watch. However, as Bstarr points out, the pace ranges seems to be incorrect when it is synced. Given it shows correctly on Trainingpeaks, I conclude that the problem must be on Garmin’s side.
Hope one day they will fix this. I am using a power-based plan, sync it with a Forerunner 945, and the zones are correct.
Regards
