Good morning last weekend I completed my second full Ironman (both this summer) and I’m not really sure where to go from here. I don’t have anything particular on my radar but I will always do some version of all three sports as this wasn’t a one and done for me. I know I want to continue to get faster, however without a goal race or end date I’m not sure how to train. I plan on taking a few weeks off scheduled workouts and just run bike and swim for fun. For swimming I’ll do masters over the winter because I enjoy them. But how should I go about increasing my ftp and running equivalent so the next time I load a tri plan into trainingpeaks I am opening the door at a higher level. Thanks for the help this past year and helping me hit my goals!
It’s a one-size-doesn’t-fit-all plan, however. For something more customized, you can cobble together a program using one of our goal-focused run plans and one of our soon-to-be-released “FTP Boost” cycling plans.
