Are strides something to include at the end of runs in 80/20 plans (in my case, tri plans)? I had a running coach who made me do them every week as part of a marathon training plan.
I’m not opposed to strides, there is an argument that frequency of speedwork would be advantageous. With our plans as written, you’re sometimes going 2 days in 7 with no speedwork at all. If they are short, the impact to the 80/20 ratios is negligible. I see no disadvantage, and actually see advantages.
