ParticipantThe RPI5 (Progression Intervals Run) from the Power based Level 2 100 mile plan fails to load in the Stryd Workout app, displaying the message Workout size exceeded on a Garmin 935, though it shows within the Stryd calendar fine once imported from TP.
I’ve worked around this by rebuilding the workout using a 3 section repeating block repeated 5 times for each of the work sections, rather than the ramp blocks used in the original.
I noticed also that although the description says 5 times, the last section includes only 4 ramps. I’ve kept mine at 5, so hoping that will not break the camel’s back.

KeymasterJeremy,
Thanks for reporting this. We’re aware of this error, and I thought we had fixed it in all plans. Can you confirm the plan, level, intensity type and week that you are seeing that workout.
When we make fixes on the back end, they don’t sync down to the user until they reload the plan, so it’s also possible it is fixed, but you just have not reloaded the plan since we made the fix. But, I’d like to verify the fix in our main plan.

ParticipantHi David,
Plan is 80/20 Running: 2021 Edition Ultra 100 Mile Level 2 (Power-based, 5.5 to 11.5 Hours per Week).
This is the RPI5 (Progression Intervals Run) on week 15 (I didn’t notice on week 3 when this workout is first done as I subbed it out for a 20-minute test), so yeah, has been in my calendar a while.
Is it possible to reload a plan whilst it is in progress?

KeymasterJeremy, we did NOT correct that workout in Week 15 of the Power plan, it is now corrected.
You can get the fixed version of the workout by unloading and loading your plan, but that’s sort of the nuclear option. Instead, if you can link your account to me I can pop that workout into your plan manually without a full unload/reload. ParticipantI need help with this as well please. I’m using the
80/20 Running: 2021 Edition 10K Level 2 (Power-based, 5 to 7.25 Hours per Week) plan and I’m on week 9. I have the same workout and I unloaded and reloaded it and synced up everything and its still saying the size exceeded error.August 13, 2021 at 1:43 pm #13894David Warden
KeymasterH, connect to me at https://home.trainingpeaks.com/attachtocoach?sharedKey=OKYJVWHNFAPPG and I’ll make that fix in your plan.

KeymasterHarnex, I’ll need your first name and last initial, as I don’t know which of the athletes recently attached to me you are! I can’t see the 10K Level 2 Power plan applied to any of our new athletes.

KeymasterDavid, got it, now replaced. I feel bad that it took so many days to fix, looks like you were scheduled to do the run last Friday, apologies for the delay. Hope you still get a chance to perform it later on. Remember, you can always manually export the workout to do an another day.

ParticipantSame problem here. 5k level 1 power based, Progression intervals (RPI1). Thanks! I’ll just trade it with my weekend speedwork for now.

KeymasterThanks for checking the forums! Also fixed in the 5K plan, but this makes me nervous as we fixed this back in August for that plan so you almost certainly have the updated version. Some Garmin devices can handle larger workouts than others, and your device may not have the memory to handle this workout.
I say 80/20 “fixed” it but really this is a Garmin issue. We’re using their accepted protocols and the workout is being accepted by Garmin Connect as a valid workout. The RPI series is a bit more complex than other workouts, but if Garmin accepts it from the plan author, and it syncs to Garmin Connect, they need to ensure it is supported on their hardware or have it error out earlier in the workouts creation process.
But, we’ll do what we can on our end when we see these issues!
