Swim plan meters vs yards

Hi, I just signed up for Level 2 IM 70.3 plan, bike and run power. What kind of confuses me is that my TP setup is in metric system, but whole swim plan is described in yards. Would not this confuse the training watch? Should I take as 1m = 1yd (in this case)? Many thanks!

While the 80/20 swim workouts default to measuring the workout in yards, the swim workouts can be performed in meters even if the workout calls for yards, you will just be swimming 10% more than the plan calls for. This does not impact the 80/20 ratios, and an extra 10% swimming will not negatively impact the overall triathlon plan.

Your device will override the workouts setting for pool length. If you set your device to a 25-meter pool, for example, the workout will be in meters.
