Love the 80/20 plan!! Into week 3 heading to my A event which is the NYC Marathon in Nov. 33yrs old – have done a lot of Z2/MAF in the past. This afternoon I had an easy 8M run where I did a talk test (I said the pledge) at mile 7…7:45 pace w/HR at 148-150. My Z2 range is 143 – 156. My question: 1) How do I use this feedback in my training and 2) Should I expect improvements from this as I progress into my marathon preparation. How does the talk test translate into ‘race pace’ !! Many thanks!
