Just a quick question. I’m not following a specific training plan, but I’d like to do a CP test every 4-6 weeks to see my progress. Most of the time, I take Sundays off for church, family, etc. Would it make a difference whether I did the test on Monday or Tuesday? Should I do an easy run the day before the test? Or does it really matter? Just checking. Thanks!
Good question. I wonder if there’s a study addressing it. If not, there should be! My real-world coaching experience tells me most athletes would perform better or at least feel better if the CP test follows a light training day rather than a rest day.
