I am on an IM plan and want to pick a week for an organized training camp (=high volume and i won’t be able to train exactly according to plan).
Date-wise, i could do it e.g. in week 11 or 13 of the plan. Week 11 is before a recovery week, which probably makes more sense. What do you think? Also, should i reduce load before starting the camp?
I’d go for Week 13. You’ll be two weeks fitter and will go into it with fresher legs. You can always dial back Week 15, when you’re back in control of your training, if you find you’re overreaching.
