Upload to TP

So, it took me until about 1/2 through my training to get TP connected to my Garmin account. Since then, workouts seem to upload just fine.

Question, is there an easy way to upload the previous Garmin data. I’m not going to download files/upload files as it’s really not that important to me. I’m just curious if there’s some ‘synch workout to Garmin’ button that will upload the data.

B, I recall that it can take up to 7 days for previous workouts to sync to TP. See https://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/articles/204070854-Garmin-Connect-sync-for-completed-activities-planned-workouts-and-body-composition which confirms.

However, the real question I think is how to get all the workouts from your device to Garmin Comment. I would use the desktop Garmin Sync to manage this and ensure there is a complete sync to GC first.

So, in summary, get all the workouts into GC first, then wait up to 7 days for them to sync from GC to TP. IF that does not work, then I’d reach out to GC if the workouts are not in GC, and contact TP if the workouts are in GC but not TP a week later.

    Thanks, David.

I might check with TP. All the workouts are in Garmin connect. I was about 8 weeks in before I stumbled on the link to Garmin function. Since then, all my workouts have transferred to TP just fine. There must be some date connection where TP only looks for Garmin from the time you enable the feature. Who knows.

If I find something out I’ll let folks know.

So I disconnected from my Garmin account and reconnected to see if it would upload past data. I think this is how I connected the first time but not sure. Still no data before the date I originally synced the accounts but each daily activity connects fine.

    I did find this:

Tried it with a couple activities and it works fine. I had success with the .tcx file. Saves the step of having to extract from a .zip. Simply drag and drop into TP. Really simple.

So, if I wanted to do it 40 or so times, I could get all my past activities into TP.
