    All good. So there are some plans to possibly integrate this into the construction of a hiking boot, which would be more like a mixed boot/exoskeleton device.

    The device currently is more like an extra long ankle brace that goes up the leg more, and stores/returns power similar to the achilles tendon.

    Haha no, it is a plastic device that is custom fitted to the shape of your foot, ankle and lower leg. It contains elastic bands parallel to the achilles tendon, and offloads some of the tendon strain. They are meant to fit within your running shoes.
