I’d like to hear your opinion on a block of more run focused training that I could implement after my 70.3 North carolina race. So you have some context, my 80/20 zone thresholds are as follows: swim threshold is 1:15/100yd, bike FTP 350 (4.375w/kg), for running I use power 385w but need to redo my threshold test in a recovery week. My power zones line up very similar to a threshold pace between 6:05-6:10 min/mile. My run and swim are definitely weaker compared to my bike and with the swim being the shortest I feel like my run needs to improve to make me more competitive at the world and national champ levels. Eventual goal is to earn my pro card in 2022.
Something that came to mind is running the Olympic level 1 plan for bike and swim work along with a 10k level 2 plan for running. Bottom line is I want to improve my run to the level of my bike. Thanks for all you guys have done!
